Donald George Picha, age 21, of San Antonio, formerly of Lacy Lakeview died Saturday, February 2, 1990 in Uvalde. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waco, with Msgr. John Driskoll as celebrant. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery, Waco. Mr. Picha was born on November 23, 1968 in Waco. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from Reicher High School, where he participated in football, baseball and soccer. He was President of the Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a third year engineering student and editor of the school newspaper at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Picha of Lacy Lakeview; two brothers, David John Picha and Dale Picha, both of Stephenville; two sisters, Janet Harris of Lake Jackson and Julie Picha of Lacy Lakeview; his maternal grandfather, Louis Pustejovsky of Lacy Lakeview; and his paternal grandmother, Martha Picha of Fort Worth. Pallbearers were Ron Lopez, Eric Tovar, Ron Chmielewski, Richard Andis, Alfredo Laredo, Alfredo Marin, Rego Mena and Richard Lenart. Kotch Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
