Curtis Wayne Dewerff Curtis Wayne Dewerff, 58, Aberdeen, SD, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, in Aberdeen. Curtis Wayne Dewerff was born July 8, 1941, in Fargo, ND to Elmer Sr. and Crystal (Carlson) Dewerff. He grew up and attended school in Embden, ND. He served in the US Army in Germany. He worked as a farm laborer for many years in the Chaffee, ND, and Barney, ND areas. Curtis has lived in Aberdeen for the past 20 years. He is survived by four brothers, five sisters, 23 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews and one niece. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis' friends at the Friends Program in Aberdeen. Memorial service: Saturday at 2 in West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND. Burial: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, ND.
