She was the middle child of 11 born to Otto and Ida (Heine) Jupe of San Antonio Texas. She was raised on the family farm in Southeast Bexar County near Rigsby and S. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joseph, Antone (Tony), and Edwin (Farmer) Jupe, and sisters Dorine, Aggie DeMello (Roseville CA), Irene Rakowitz, In Laws, Dan DeMello, Edward Rakowitz, Bill Kiolbassa and Frank Haese; grandson, Douglas Jackson, Great grandsons, Jacob McDow and Jasen Mena. She is survived by her beloved brother, sisters, and in-laws, Ruth Jupe, Mary Ann Kiolbassa, Corine (Blondie) Brehm (Milton), Gene (Shirley) Jupe and Betty Haese. Evelyn had to work most of her life in various positions including Joskes, Baptist Hospitals, and Trinity University. Her enjoyment was the three "B's" Bowling, Bingo and Bunco. And she often would take the bus from St. Jerome's to Louisiana to gamble by herself into her 80s. But her favorite times were spent with family, especially Ruth Jupe, Mary Ann Kiolbassa, and Tillie Jupe, most often playing dominoes. Services will be at Dellcrest Funeral Home, 2023 S WW White Rd, San Antonio. A family gathering and rosary are scheduled for Sunday, July 6th at 6 and 7pm respectively.
