Proceded in death by husband Ted Filipowicz, Sr.; parents, Stanley and Caroline Zurek; siblings, Hugo, Edith, Rita and John; and grandson, Christopher Suhr. Survived by her much loved and devoted partner of 20 years, Lawrence "Larry" Boukal; brothers, Stanley and Bob Zurek; children, Marie (Kenny) Suhr, Gloria (Steve) Derickson, Ted Jr. (Mary) Filipowicz, and Ray (Karen) Filipowicz; 10 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Vern lived a long and blessed life filled with family and friends, and will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched. Family will Receive friends on Sunday 2-5pm at Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home, with ROSARY/VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm. FUNERAL SERVICE Monday at 9:30am at Funeral Home to St. Bridget's Catholic Church for 10am MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL. Interment in St. John Cemetery.
