Winnie Voelkel Putegnat GALVESTON - Winnie Voelkel Putegnat, 81, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 1998. at Turner Geriatric Center. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 28, 1998, at 11:00 a.m. at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Pinnard officiating. Burial will follow service at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 1998, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Putegnat-was born January 4, 1917, in-Cherokee County, Texas. She was a resident of Galveston since 1956, and member of the Church of Christ. She was a longtime resident of Turner Geriatric Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald G. Voelkel Sr.; husband, Edward Putegnat; brother, Preston Fort; and brother, Hoyle Fort. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia L. Zorotovic of Manhattan Beach, California; daughter, JBennie S. Anderson and husband Richard of Cerritos, California; son, David L. Voelkel and wife Betty J. of La Marque; son, Gerald G. Voelkel, Jr. of La Marque; grandchildren: Jason and Laurie Voelkel, Jessica Goertz, Peter and Benjamin Zorotovic; sister-in-law, Isabel Fort of Lufltin, Texas; sister-inlaw, Vergie Fort, of San Augustine, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
