Bio

My great grandfather was the son of Nelson "Nels" & Emma Charlotta (Rosengren) Soder. He was born in Stratford, Hamilton, Iowa. On April 20, 1904 in Dayton, Webster, Iowa he married Cora Mae Bowman. Four children were born to this union: Rolland Bowman, John Harold, Muriel Maxine and Clarice Mae. After my great grandmother died he remarried to woman named Irma Bertha Thomas after 1940. The first photo is John playing chess with brother Albert with older half-brother Peter Swedlund (from mother's first marriage) watching. The second photo back row is Alfred, Albert & John, front row is Emma and mother Emma Charlotta. John also had 5 siblings from his mother's first marriage to Joseph "Lars" Swedlund, Sr: Joseph, Jr., Cathena (Kate), Andrew, Peter and Hannah Swedlund.
