The following comments are attributed to "Joshua, Alvin Cain's Great-Grandson", with revisions/corrections posted below - "In 2019, I finally solved the ancient mystery. In 2023, I added several records. Her brother was William Walter Harrison Cyrus born in 1892, died in Hoquiam, Washington (explaining Washington story). There I found mother Alice Brumfield was remarried as Alice Burkes after marrying Ninvil Justice in Carlton County (no parental information on marriage record). Her full name is Sarah/Sadie Elizabeth Alice M. Brumfield born in 1873 at Howard Lake, Minnesota. All records of the county were searched. The only Alice Brumfield of the county was born to father unknown and Marinda Ellen Brumfield (1852-1882). She later married Francis William Lee born 1850 (parents William Henry Lee (1823-1890) and Bestey Putnam (1828-1904). They married after Alice was born and while she was put down as Brumfield, Ancestry DNA proves Marinda Brumfield and her parents but shows no DNA connections to Francis Lee and his parents meaning he is most likely not her father. Marinda died young giving that family story while Francis Lee's family had settled in Carlton County giving that family story. Sarah's father was William Samuel Cyrus, son of Marshall Cyrus and Sarah Ann Hoff/Lowe. He had a first cousin as well in Wright County, another William Cyrus, who married Aurelia Persinger. All my future work will be on Family Search. As I solved it, I would appreciate no one ever edits this or please find me at Family Search first. I am turning over my memorials and closing my findagrave account to simplify. Thank you." The statement above that William Walter Harrison Cyrus has no living descendants today is incorrect. Records show that William Cyrus and Ruby Louise DeLong had a son, William Jr., born in Idaho in 1916 and died in Scurry, Texas in 1917. William also completed his WWI draft registration in Scurry, Texas on 2 June 1917, stating he was married. He enlisted in the army from Scurry, Texas in November of that year, when Ruby was about 6 months pregnant with their daughter, Louise Ruby, who was born in Arkansas a few months later. There are in fact a number of living descendants of William Walter Harrison Cyrus. Also, Alice Brumfield married David Dennis S. Burke as her 3rd husband, having divorced her previous husbands, thus her name was Alice Burke, not Burkes. She was listed in the 1910 census as the mother of 9 children, 4 living. Besides Sarah Ann Cyrus and William Walter Harrison Cyrus, she was the mother of Lettie Virden Justice and Clarence Charles Justice. Clarence assumed the name of his stepfather, as given in his delayed birth certificate of 1960, hence Clarence Charles Justice Burke.
