Bio
LaVerne F. Skrivanek, 77, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2014, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Crisp Cemetery. LaVerne Frances was born in Malone, Texas, to the late Paul John and Olga Sofe (Muesse) Manske. She grew up in Malone, Texas, and graduated from Bynum High School in 1954 and moved to Ennis in 1954. LaVerne worked for Ennis Business Forms for over 43 years retiring in 1998; she also was an Avon Representative for over 20+ years. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Ennis. LaVerne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very involved in her church and loved her cats dearly. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shirley Manske; and nephew Charlie Cleary. Survivors includ her sons, Glenn Skrivanek and wife, Tracey, and Bob Skrivanek and wife, Julie; grandchildren: Caleb, Cameron, Tyler, and Whitney; brother, Alan Manske; nieces and nephew: Susan Norwood, Janet Cleary, and Mike Manske; and long time special friend, Gary Vitovsky.
