Thanks to contributor #48796369 Dorothy Lizzie Heisner, 88, of Mt. Vernon, Mo. formerly of Ord, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon, Mo. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 at the Ord Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers were grandsons, Alan Heisner, Brian Heisner, Paul Heisner, Shawn Lutz, Corey Lutz, Richard Palu, Jr., Randy Palu and Tim Palu. Dorothy Lizzie Heisner was born April 29, 1912, at Wiggle Creek in Sherman County to Henry and Elizabeth (Bickel) Obermiller. On April 1, 1930, she married Lloyd O. Heisner in Kearney. She was a high school cook and a homemaker. She moved from Ord to Mt. Vernon one year ago due to failing health. She lived with her son and other family members. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Loup City and she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. Survivors include one son and wife, Darrol and Dorothy Heisner of Mt. Vernon, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Twila and Richard Palu of Worland, Wyo.; two sisters, Marie Kolhof of Scottsbluff, her twin and Lorella Moomey of Alliance; two brothers, Leonard Obermiller of Leesburg, Fla. and Fritz Obermiller of Loup City; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, and sisters and one grandson.
