Mrs. Irene Ducharme Jennings: The family and friends of Mrs. Irene Ducharme are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on June 27, 2014. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Irene was born to the late Lank Parker and the late Mabel Reeves Parker on September 18, 1936 in Lake Charles, LA. She was a retired District Manager for Security Industrial Insurance. She was a member of Reeves Bible Church and was President of the Bundick Lake Association. She loved to fish and spend time with her friends on the lake. She enjoyed cooking and especially spending time with her family who she loved and held dear to her heart. Mrs. Irene is survived by her beloved daughter, Brenna Gail Airhart and her husband, Russell of Reeves, LA; her son, Preston "Pony" Dartez and his wife, Vicky also of Reeves; her brother, Larry Dale Parker and his wife, Sue of Lake Charles, LA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; also, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Ducharme; her parents; two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Reeves Bible Church with Brother Glen Ducharme officiating. Burial will follow in the Creel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. The Ducharme family requests visitation to be held at the Reeves Bible Church in Reeves on Sunday, June 29th from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 8:00 AM until the time of her funeral service. Carrying Mrs. Irene to her final resting place will be Sammy Dunnehoo, Jerry Kober, Clayton Holland, Calvin Reeves, Wayne Parker and Dwaine Bernard. Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
