Bio
Allen Phillips was born in 15 January 1920 in Arkansas, USA. The son of Linzie Leon Phillips (1885-1942) and Fannie Elizabeth Moody Phillips (1887-1970). Siblings: Melvin William Phillips, Thomas Phillips, Leon Phillips, Argie Phillips and Clancy A Phillips. Allen Phillips, 84, of Ashby, Massachusetts died Thursday, September 16, 2004. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a roofer and housing contractor, served as animal control officer in Ashby for 25 years, was a member of Ashby Grange and received its community service award in 2002, and received the Massachusetts State Senate Official Citation in recognition of many years of service to the town. Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Antioch Church with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Booneville under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. He is survived by his wife, a son, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
