Bio
Theta Lowe, 79 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her home in Kingston. She was born on July 1, 1934 in Childress, Texas to the late George Curtis Slaton and Ava Lee Cooper Slaton. Theta was raised in Childress where she graduated from the Childress High School. She later graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a teaching degree. Theta taught special education for 32 years before retiring. She married William Lloyd Lowe on March 1, 1953 in Childress. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2013. In 2000 she moved to Kingston where she lived the rest of her life. Theta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas and she enjoyed knitting and working with leather. She loved watching animals, cooking and teaching children. She is survived by: Son: Kenneth Lee Lowe and wife Maggie, Amarillo, Texas Daughter in-law: Beverly Lowe, Kingston, Oklahoma Grandchildren: Cody, Clint, Cristin, Cory Lowe, Brandy Garcia, Brittni Cox, Bernie Post, Sonny Cox, Alicia Hornbuckle, Rene Hornbuckle, Stephanie Garza. 10 Great grandchildren Casket Bearers: Kenny Lowe, Cody Lowe, Clint Lowe, Cory Lowe, Mickey Marsee and Kelvin Thomas.
