Funeral services for Mrs. Henry F. Behrens, 86, were held Thursday, March 10, in Howell-Doran Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Lynn Simpson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Behrens, widow of a San Saba County pioneer ranchman, died Tuesday, March 8, 1966, in San Saba Memorial Hospital. She was born Amanda Regina Homeyer on May 22, 1879, in Williamson County, Texas, the daughter of William H. Homeyer and Sophia R. Braun Homeyer. She was married to Henry F. Behrens in January 1900, in Williamson County, and she and her husband came to San Saba County that same year. Her husband died August 18, 1955. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Royal Neighbors. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lela Zepeda, Mrs. Lorena Goolsby, and Mrs. Henrietta Wolma, all of San Antonio, Mrs. Elsa Randolph of Laredo, and Mrs. Elfreda Moore of San Saba; two sons, Albert and Arnold Behrens, both of San Saba; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
