Roger Dale Sampley, Jr., 58, of Kamay, Texas, died on Monday June 16, 2014. Roger was born December 29, 1955 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Roger Dale and Ruth (Via) Sampley. He attended school in Iowa Park, Valley View and Taft, California. He was raised in the oilfield and formed his own roustabout service. He loved driving trucks and logged in many miles over the years, most recently driving for Tommy Reece. Roger is preceded in death by his father, brother, Larry Sampley, and great grandson, Kason Michael Payne. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen Sampley, sons, Trey Sampley of Kamay and James Winkler and wife, Jessica, of Iowa Park, Jason Winkler and wife, Tasha, of Wichita Falls, daughter Amber Sampley Alvarez and husband, Chris, of Amarillo, mother, Ruth (Via) Sampley of Iowa Park, Texas, brother, Calvin Sampley and Cindi Sampley, sisters, Glenda Goad and husband, Steve, Linda Christerson and Red, Nancy Turner and Jim, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and one on the way; and also, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
