Married to Thelma Wynonna Coleman January 21, 1971-May 14, 2004 William "Al" Taylor, 93, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 17th 2014 at Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Thomas McDonald and Norman Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 PM, June 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Al was born on February 24, 1921 to James Thomas Taylor and Dora Alice (Haney) Taylor in Petrolia, Texas. Al was in the Army, serving his country from 1942 to 1945. He was an avid baseball fan and followed the Texas Rangers. His love for baseball also led him to coaching women's fast-pitch softball in his younger years. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Yvette; two sisters: Verna White and Ramona Davis; two brothers: Elmer and Raymond Taylor and his step daughter, Jimmie Scott. He is survived by his two sons: Randy and Keith Taylor of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters: Doris Walters, Edna McDaniel and Jean Massie and husband Don, all of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren: Serina King and husband Brian of Dean, Texas, Wylie Taylor and wife Colysta of Keller, Texas, Whitney Cooper and husband Jimmy of Dean, Texas, Dylan Richards of Wichita Falls, Texas, Shelia Wende and husband Lonnie of Hawley, Texas; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Memorials in Al's name may be made to Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 3200 Cheryl, Wichita Falls, Texas 76309 Lunn Colonial Funeral Home Wichita Falls, Texas Permission to use obit obtained
