Bio

He was born in Campbell Co., GA, which was divided and ceded with Douglas & Fulton Counties in 1931. Married Nancy "Nicie" Jane (Pruitt) Johnson on 7 Mar 1865 in Calhoun Co., AL. He was the son of Evan & Sarah (Gray) Johnson. Dates come from his AL death certificate, which states that he is buried here, although his grave is probably unmarked. His death certificate lists his mother's given names as Mary Jane, but from the 1850-1880 censuses all state that her name is Sarah.
