Bio
Inez Lavana Lundy, 99, of Temple, Texas services will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Steve Sauser officiating. Interment will be 3:00 pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Palestine, Texas. Inez passed away Friday, July 17th at a local nursing care facility. Inez was born on June 11, 1916 to Oran Milo Roberts and Vallie Daniel Roberts in Terrell, Texas. She graduated from Terrell High School then moved to Dallas where she married Ray Lundy in 1940. They were blessed with six children which includes two sets of twins. Inez graduated from the School of Nursing and worked until retirement at the Palestine local hospital. In 1980 she moved to Temple and became a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and past president of the Fort Sam Houston Chapter. Inez enjoyed traveling to Egypt, France, and Greece and also had a great love for Texas History. She was a proud mother and always proud of her family. Preceded in death are her parents; husband; sons, Max Allen Lundy, and Peter Charles Lundy; brother, Allen Roberts; and sister, Lillie Mae Stayton.
