Bio

James J Jacobs, son of Rebecca Rudd and Jeremiah Jacobs, married Elizabeth Templeton, daughter of Rebecca Tyson Bell (Beall) and Obadiah Templeton, in 1841 in Coffee Co, TN. The 1850 census shows the J J Jacobs family living next door to his parents and within two houses of his uncle. All of the men were listed as farmers. Mr. Jacobs apparently was a constable of the township. This note of resignation was submitted 3 February 1845 J.J. JACOBS Presents his resignation as Constable for Civil Dist. No 2.
