Delores is the daughter of George & Rose (Tomsicek) Pop. Delores married Leonard Bartek on February 15, 1949 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo, Nebraska. They are the parents of Cheryl, David, Lynn, Deb, Jim & Barb. Delores A. Bartek, 83 of Weston, NE, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home in Weston. She was born October 10, 1930 in Weston, NE to George and Rose (Tomsicek) Pop. She graduated from Wahoo High School in 1947. On February 15, 1949, Delores was united in marriage to Leonard Bartek at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo as a double wedding with Milo and RoseMarie Bartek. In the early years, she worked at the Wahoo Newspaper and the Saunders County Courthouse in the assessor's office. She worked at the post office in Weston for several years until her retirement. Delores was faithful in prayer and had a gentle soul that was kind to everyone she met. She was always positive and creative with a knack for carpentry. Quilting and gardening were her hobbies as well as being an outstanding baker and cook. Delores was a mother, sister and friend that will be forever missed. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, St. John PCCW, Rosary Sodality, St. John quilters, and Cursillo. She is survived by children, Cheryl Fidler of Wahoo, David (Becky) Bartek of York, Lynne (Garry) McIntosh of Fremont, Deb (Pat) Carroll of Weston, Jim (Bev) Bartek of Lincoln, and Barb (Randy) Hothan of Beatrice; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sister, RoseMarie (Milo) Bartek of Wahoo; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Leonard; grandchildren, baby Carroll, infant of Pat and Deb Carroll; Timothy Ross (Lynne) and Megan McIntosh (Garry), children of Lynne and Garry McIntosh; and Nathaniel Bartek, infant of Jim and Bev Bartek. Rev. Christopher Goodwin will be officiating.
