MYRTLE REBECCA SWEARINGEN STEWART Bellville Times Myrtle Rebecca Stewart, 89, of Millheim Comminity passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Houston. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. from Bellville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Amy Harlason officiating. Interment was in Millheim Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Stewart, John Stewart, Chris Jolly, Kevin Swearingen, Chad Swearingen and Nathan Barry. Myrtle Stewart was born on January 17, 1920 in Cat Spring to parents, Richard and Ella Severin Swearingen. She attended Bellville public schools. Myrtle was united in marriage to Connie Dale Stewart in August of 1942. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary Post 622 in Bellville and Millheim Cemetery Association, and a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church. She was a fan of the Houston Astros, enjoyed dominoes and gardening. She especially liked digging potatoes. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Stewart and wife, Debbie and Michael Stewart and wife, Jackie all of Sealy, sisters-in-law Gladys Swearingen of Millheim Community and Nettie Swearingen of Sealy, brother Jake Swearingen and wife, Sydil of Cat Spring, grandchildren, Brandi Stewart, John Stewart, Brian Stewart, Christine Innes and Chris Jolly, great-grandchildren Normandy King, Dustin Innes, SamuelBarry, Brett Jolly, Ben Jolly, Abby Jolly and Ava Rose Stewart along with nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Connie Dale Stewart, brothers Marvin, Aarron, Wesley and Jasper Swearingen, sister-in-law, Isabel Swearingen.
