Horace was the son of Arzo Roy Luper and Arrell Elizabeth Dejarnette. He was the husband of Frances Mae Bond. Wichita Eagle (Wichita, Kansas) Sunday, July 21, 1968 HORACE O. LUPER Services for Horace O. Luper, 54, of 4117 Bella Vista, who died Friday of a self-inflicted gun-shot wound, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Cochran Mortuary. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Born at Wayne, Okla., he moved to Wichita in 1940 from Oklahoma City. He was fleet superintendent at Luper Transportation Co., 350 E. 21st. He was a member of the Methodist church, Sunflower Masonic Lodge, Wichita Consistory and Midian Shrine. Survivors include his widow, Frances; a son, Craig David, of the home; two daughters, Miss Kimberly Ann, of the home, and Mrs. Vicki Jane Heckman, Wichita; and five brothers, Wilfred, Dallas, Fred, Tulsa, Sterling, Shawnee, Okla., Alvin, Oklahoma City, and Ora, Wewoka, Okla. Wichita Eagle (Wichita, Kansas) Saturday, July 20, 1968 Page 9 HORACE O. LUPER Horace O. Luper, 54, of 4117 Bella Vista, died Friday afternoon of a gunshot wound. Police said the body was found by a neighbor in the basement of the home at 5:43 p.m. Deputy District Coroner Dr. William Eckert said the death apparently was a suicide. Cochran Mortuary has charge.
