Janet Sharlene Partridge, 78, of Burwell, Nebraska died June 2, 2014 at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell, Nebraska. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. Fr. Mark Maresh will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of the arrangements. Jan was born October 10, 1935 in Custer County, Nebraska to Charley and Mildred (Fleming) Rowell. Jan graduated from Burwell High School in 1954. In June of 1954 Jan was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Lyle Waldmann also in June of 1954. They resided east of Ord, Nebraska before moving to Longmont, Colorado and then to North Platte, Nebraska. Lyle died in 1968. Jan then married Larry Ackles and moved to Burwell in 1972 and they were later divorced. Jan married her high school sweetheart, Lowell Partridge on August 8, 2006. Jan was a member of the Lunch Bunch and the Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed bowling and making and decorating cakes. She and Lowell had bible study in their home and she enjoyed caring for children, helping at various day care's. Jan is survived by her husband, Lowell Partridge of Burwell, Nebraska. Four children, Dianne and Richard Calkins of Alma, Nebraska, Michael and Linda Waldmann of Omaha, Nebraska, Mark Waldmann of Maryland Heights, Missouri and Dean Ackles and fiancée Tammy Bargen of Ankeny, Iowa. Seven grandchildren, Ryan and Raquel McGinty of San Francisco, California, Shauna and Bronson Boseck of Lincoln, Nebraska, Patrick and Jennifer Calkins of Lincoln, Nebraska, Caden Ackles of Ankeny, Iowa and Matthew, Emilie Sovereign of Omaha, Nebraska and Chas Waldmann of Lincoln, Nebraska. Four great-grandchildren, Milah and Delilah Boseck of Lincoln, Nebraska and August and Adrik Boseck of Columbus, Nebraska. A foster son, Marlon and Gloria Goochey and children of Middletown, Delaware. A brother, Bill and Miche Rowell of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Two sisters, Shirley and Bob Waldmann of Denver, Colorado and Karen and Sterling Smith of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Jan was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lyle Waldmann.
