Inez Ethel Lively Duncan, who lived a happy and blessed life, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on the 30th of May, 2014, at the age of 98 years. Inez was born in Grapeland, Texas on July 26, 1915, to Eugene Claude Lively and Ethel Denson Lively. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husbands: Joe Wakefield, who died in WWII and Clay Hughes Duncan, who died in 2005, as well as 5 brothers and 3 sisters: Marshall, J.C., Lois Salter, Lillian Lively, Eugene C. Jr., Aubrey, Lucille McDaniel and Preston. She is survived by her sister Melba Smart from Ben Wheeler, Texas, and her brother Donald Lively and sister-in-law Beverly Broughton Lively from Hilltop, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Inez and Clay were married March 12, 1948. They had 57 years of love, happiness and adventure. Inez will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas. The family will receive friends and relatives 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Funeral and burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in Grapeland, her birth place.
