Bio

Daughter of Johannes Pinders and Dorothea Theodora Fischer. Born Hendrina Pinders in Esserden, Rhineland, Prussia. She and her husband Bernard, along with their two eldest sons Wilhelm ("William") and Gerhard , immigrated to the US in 1868. At the time, she was expecting their third son, Robert . Their first child, a daughter named Johanna Bernardina Kleipass, died in Prussia in 1863 as an infant. The family first settled in West Bend, Wisconsin where Robert was born, along with siblings Hugh , Wilhelmina ("Minnie") , Anna and Henry . The family next moved to Burlington, Texas where they stayed for a short time, and where a daughter, Rosalia , was born and died as an infant. They then settled permanently in Waco, Texas, where their final child, Rosalie ("Rose") was born. Dina died in Waco in 1916.
