Services for Ava Samantha Henry, 92, of Aztec, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in New Deal First Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Jones, pastor, and the Revs. R.W. Webb and Henry McWilliams officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under direction of Abell Funeral Home. She died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in Aztec, N.M. She was born Nov. 20, 1905, in Hico. She married Fred Herman Henry on April 7, 1927. He died Feb. 25, 1988. She moved to Aztec from Abernathy. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, several rodeo clubs and several sewing, arts and crafts clubs. Survivors include a son, Keithel of New Deal; a daughter, Vernell Rhodes of Aztec; three brothers, Henry McWilliams of Amarillo, C.B. McWilliams of Littlefield and Leslie McWilliams of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Vesta Hunt of Sudan and Addie Bilderback of Arkansas; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
