Bio

Services for Victor Struve, 86, of Abernathy, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Abernathy Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of Lamesa First Baptist Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. He died Friday, May 18, 2001. He was born July 15, 1914, near Abernathy. He married Jean Roberts on Jan. 31, 1937, in Plainview. He was the Worshipful Master of the Abernathy Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. He was survived by his wife; one son, Victor Jr. of Borger; three daughters, Karen Bradley and Betty Pettit, both of Abernathy, and Martha Barrick of Leander; a sister, Anna Manna Durham of Ropesville; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
