Ashley Carlton (A.C.) Collins Sr. died May 21, 1989. He was born in Orange, Texas on March 29, 1928. He attended grade school and high school in Nederland, Texas. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He attended Lamar University before servicing in the Korean War. He then attended the University of Houston. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston and Anson Jones Masonic Lodge No. 1313 A.F.& A.M., a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Houston Police 100 Club, Local, State and National Automobile Associations and the R.E. (Bob Smith) Yacht Club. Mr Collins worked at the Ford Motor Company District office in Houston from 1956-1967 From 1967-1970 he was Vice President and General Manager of Mosehart-Keller Ford. Inc He was President and Owner of A. C. Collins Ford, Inc., Pasadena from 1970 until his death. Preceded in death by his father, Arson Calvin Collins and son, Ashley Carlton (A.C.) Collins.
