Vlasta Kadlecek Mazzantini GALVESTON - Vlasta Kadlecek Mazzantini, 85, passed away on May 31, 2004, at Turner Geriatric Center in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7:30 p.m. Vlasta was born August 19, 1918, to Alois and Marie Bordovsky Kadlecek in La Grange, Texas. She was employed as a floral designer for Dantin-Goodwin where she retired after 27 years of dedicated service. She was a very loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by her family. Vlasta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted Mazzantini, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and nephew, Johnny Ramsey. She is survived by her sister, Christine Philip of Houston; niece, Mary Simpton of Galveston; great nieces, Judy Holcomb of La Marque, Ann Moore of Galveston, Lisa Ramsey and Joni Corley both of Houston. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mike Hartwig for his kindness and generosity to Vlasta and her caretakers at Turners Geriatric Center in Galveston.
