Bio

Ward B. Sheriff, 58, died Monday at his home, 607 North Iowa Ave. He had been ill for some time. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Sandvig Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Lloyd Meyer, pastor of the Church of The Open Bible. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Sheriff is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Duane Beisell of Eagle Grove, four sons, Richard of Council Bluffs, Don, Gary and Ronald of Eagle Grove; 5 grandchildren, one brother Lyman Sheriff of Eagle Grove and one stepbrother Paul Butterfield of Springfield, Mo. Mr. Sheriff was born March 14, 1905 at Hampton to Mr. and Mrs. Simeon Sheriff. He had lived in Eagle Grove for many years and was employed as a truck driver.
