Bio
Rosie died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her home in Columbus. Rose Marie Woodward was born March 8, 1936 in St. Paul, Nebraska to Arnold and Hilda (Bartunek) Berggren. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1953 and then from Kearney State College with a teaching degree. On October 19, 1957 she was united in marriage to Ed Woodward at St. Libory, Nebraska. Rosie taught school in Grand Island and in Columbus. Along with raising her family she worked at R.W. Beck and Associates for many years. Rosie enjoyed visiting with all of her friends in Garden Club and her many Bridge Clubs. She was active at St. Bonaventure Church, serving as an organist and lector. She was also a member of the C.D.A. and a volunteer at the Columbus Community Hospital. She is survived by: Husband: Ed Woodward of Columbus, NE Daughter: Lisa (Jay) Clark of St. Paul, MN Son: Tom Woodward of Omaha, NE Son: John (Jenni) Woodward of Waterloo, NE Grandson: Sam Clark of St. Paul, MN Granddaughter: Rachel Clark of St. Paul, MN Granddaughter: Amara Woodward of Waterloo, NE Grandson: Asa Woodward of Waterloo, NE Granddaughter: Naika Woodward of Waterloo, NE She was preceded in death by: Parents: Arnold and Hilda Berggren.
