Bio
Delane Oliva, 71, of Malin, Ore., died May 3, 2014. Delane was born Feb. 12, 1943, in Comstock, Neb. He grew up and went to school in Malin. He married and had four children, Ann Oliva, Peggy Handley, Randy Oliva and Michale Oliva. He later remarried and adopted Sidney Selitzky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Blanche Oliva; brother, Norman Oliva; and his son, Michale Oliva. Delane lived and worked in Battle Mountain, Nev. He worked for 28 years at the Sierra Pacific Power Valmy Station until his retirement. He enjoyed the history of Nevada and loved crafting knives. Published in Herald And News on May 23, 2014
