Bio
Morris Habib, 89, native of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2014. Born to Juanna and Victor Habib, of blessed memory, he was drafted into the Army in 1942. He served during WWII in the Pacific Theater, 3170th Signal Service Battalion under Gen. Douglas McArthur and elements of the 6th Army. After the War, he graduated from Emory University School of Economics before enjoying a successful 42-year career with General Motors' Lakewood Plant as Senior Cost Analyst. Morris was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Rebecca; his sister, Esther Benbenisty; and brother-in-law, Sol Beton. He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Linder (Jack); sons, Victor Habib (Cheryl), and Isaac Habib; grandchildren: Ashley and Drew Habib, and Neil, Rose and Scott Linder; and sisters, Rose Beton, and Julia Soriano (Joe).
