Bio

S.O. Shattuck served in the Louisiana state Legislature. At the time of his death at age 82 he was the oldest sitting legislator in Louisiana history to date. During the 1920's he was active in the abolishment of gambling in Louisiana. Shattuck Street in Lake Charles is named to honor his contribution to both the state and the city.
