Wahoo Newspaper January 31, 2013 LINCOLN – Anne R. Scharf, 87, of Lincoln, died Jan. 14. Scharf was born Nov. 14, 1925 to Joseph and Rose (Buresh) Tichy on the family farm near Dwight. She married Adolph J. Scharf. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Valparaiso until 1964, when they moved to Havelock. She worked as a nursing technician at the Lincoln Veteran's Hospital for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Dell Spier, Sharon and Gary Spier, Patricia Scharf and Susan Scharf; grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Matt Jonas, Christie Jackson, Angel Jon Jackson, Gary J. and Kellie Spier, Heather and Cory Wilson and Shelbie Scharf; great-grandchildren, Grant Jonas, Halie and Rylee Wilson, Fayth Jackson, Angel Kobie Jackson and Norah Spier; sisters-in-law, Blanche Drews of Fremont and JoAnn Scharf of Schuyler. Funeral services were held on Jan. 18 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Havelock. Burial was at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln.
