McPHERSON – Ron Klapal, 61, died Monday, May 12, 2014 in Tulsa, Okla. He was born March 31, 1953 in Ord, Neb, to Alfred Klapal and Lawrene (Volf) Klapal-Shaw. He married Theresa Brungardt on Feb. 12, 1988 in Wichita. She survives. He graduated from Superior High School in Superior, Neb. He was a superintendent of operations with Jayhawk Pipeline Survivors also include his mother; son, Tanner DeVore, McPherson; daughters, Jennifer Spencer and husband Cheyenne with son, Connor Ruch, Owasso, Okla., and Megan Shaimes and husband Scott, Vinita, Okla.; sister, Connie White, Lincoln, Neb.; nephew, Joseph Canfield and wife Anita; and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, George Shaw; and grandparents Luis and Rosie Volf. • Rosary service with be Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Megrue-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Superior, Neb. with the Rev. Brad Zitek presiding. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Superior, Neb. Friends may call Thursday from 1. to 8 p.m. at Megrue-Price Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla. or the American Cancer Society.
