He was born to Ruby Wray Thorton and Marion Brown. He married Ellen Walker on 10 June 1947. She died in 1973. He is a Veteran of WWII and he was buried 6 December 1991. OBITUARIES... Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) | 4 December 1991 AMERICAN FORK--Clark Kendall Brown, age 76, died Dec. 2, 1991 in American Fork. Born July 6, 1916 in American Fork to Marion and Ruby Wray Thornton Brown. Married Ellen Walker June 10, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died in 1973. A graduate of Brigham Young University, he taught history and English for 33 years. Outstanding Educator in 1982. He was a high priest, High Councilor and served as stake clerk for 18 years. Survived by three children, Kendall W. and Mary B. Carter, both of Orem; Don W., Frederick, Maryland; 13 grandchildren; sister, Naomi Hamilton, Cedar City. Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m. in the American Fork 8th Ward, 300 North 100 East. Friends may call at Anderson & Son Mortuary, 49 East 100 No., Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
