Thomas married Alice Bertha Groff on the 24th of January 1894 in Madison, Nebraska. He was the son of James W. Dover 1829-1912 & Jane Nicholson 1830-1903. They had 6 children; Ralph Edwin Dover 1894-1990, Elsie Josephine Dover 1896-1985, Willard DeWayne Dover 1897-1991, Clifford Eugene Dover 1900-1984, Harlow Dean Dover 1902-1985, and Thomas Neal Dover 1908-1985.
