Herald Coaster, October 7, 2003: Graveside services for Alice Joan Zwahr, 70, of Rosenberg will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 8, 2003 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Hernandez Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Alice Zwahr, a longtime resident of Brazoria County, was born in Richmond on May 11, 1933 and passed away Sept. 29, 2003. Alice was preceded in death by Melvin Zwahr, her devoted husband of 28 years. Also preceding her in death was her beloved daughter Anita Dumensil. Alice is survived by her loving granddaughter Tera Walker and two great-grandchildren, Miranda and Cameron Walker, of Bastrop. She is also survived by sisters Ann Robinson; Glenda Lavallee; and Linda Boyd; brother Jerry Ham; and numerous nephews and nieces. Alice was a cherished family member and friend to many. The family would like to thank Al and Vince Welling of Alvin for their friendship and support of Alice.
