Dorothea "Dot" Horn was born on September 12, 1935 in Tira, Texas to parents John Thomas Horn and Ester Chapman Horn. She was twice married. Dot first wed Don F. Greathouse (see link below) at age 16 on January 26, 1952, and the couple produced one child, a son. They were married for 26 years until Don's passing in 1978. After his death, she married a second time to Carrel Wayne Parker at age 43 on April 10, 1979 in Pope County, Arkansas. No children were born of this second union. They were married 24 years until her death. A resident of Russellville, Arkansas, Dot passed away at age 68 on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jack, Robbie, Raymond and Bill Horn, as well as her first husband, Don. At the time of her passing, Dot's survivors included her second husband, Carrel Wayne Parker (who passed away in 2006; see link below), one son, one sister, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several stepchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Names of her survivors (other than her since-passed second husband) are withheld out of respect and per website guidelines. Dot was cremated, and her family conducted a memorial service at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, with a private burial of her ashes following in Zion Hill Cemetery. Local arrangements were by Shinn Funeral Service. * * * * * Please note: Although Dot's surname when she passed away was Parker from her second marriage to Carrel Wayne Parker (whom she wed in 1979), she is interred with her first husband, Don F. Greathouse (who passed in 1978). Therefore, her memorial is made with the Greathouse surname since this matches her headstone information. Carrel is buried just to the right of the image. Both of Dot's spouses are linked below.
