NEW MATAMORAS - Marion Louise Cochran, 84, of 412 Old Beavertown Road, New Matamoras, died at 1:35 a.m. Thursday (April 13, 2006) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born May 9, 1921, in Hannibal, Ohio, to Francis Marion and Helen Chaplin Rist. She was a member of Parr Hill Community Church and was a 50-year member of Matamoras Chapter No. 261, Order of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons; Gary Cochran and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Beavertown, Ohio, Charles Cochran and his wife, Garnet, of New Matamoras, and Vernon "Mick" Cochran and his wife, Virginia, of Beavertown; one daughter, Sue Mahoney and her husband, Scott, of Beavertown; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Busch and her husband, Earl, of New Matamoras; and one brother, Ted Rist of Hannibal, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Delbert Cochran, on Jan. 28, 2004. They were married Sept. 10, 1939. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Jean Minder; and one brother, Robert Rist. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday (April 15, 2006) at Hadley Funeral Homes, New Matamoras Chapel, with David Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Matamoras Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
