Bio
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Riverside Baptist Church for Mr. J. C. Ellzey, Jr. of Seminary, age 86, who died on May 9, 2014. Bro. Joey Harris, Bro. Ricky Mitchell and Bro. Kevin Sanford will officiate at the service with burial to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David West, Joel Pastorek, Jay Hammonds, George Vaughn, Brent Collins, Clint Ellzey and Zachary Hutchison. Mr. Ellzey was preceded in death by his parents, John Clinton and Minnie Carter Ellzey; grandson, Jacob West; sisters, Trudy Morgan, Ruby Hough, and Dorothy Johnson; brothers, Orland Ellzey and Wendall Ellzey. Mr. Ellzey was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a member and a retired deacon at the Bethel Baptist Church of Seminary and retired from the Masonite Corp. as a welder after 25 years.
