Louise Cooper Hardy, 95, passed away at Hobbs Health Care Center. She was the daughter of Oliver Columbus Cooper and Clara Isabella Brown. She graduated from Bruce High School, attended Wharton County Jr. College and graduated from Lydia Houston Beauty College of Houston. She married Overn Hardy in 1935 and they celebrated 69 years together until his death in 2005. She served alongside her husband, who was an ordained Baptist minister, in churches in Mississippi, Illinois, Texas and New Mexico for over 50 years. She led music, played the piano, taught youth and led in WMU. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers; one sister; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. Survived by: Son: Charles Hardy & wife, Barbara of Granbury, TX Daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Dittrich & husband, John of Eunice Sister: Eva Clair Vestal of Sugarland, TX Brother: Dr. James Cooper of Bryan, TX Eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
