Bio

"Arvin Tomasek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Tomasek, passed away at his home Monday afternoon September 28, 1942, at about 4:00 o'clock. He had been in declining health for about 7 months. He spent 3 weeks in the Cameron Hospital and 3 weeks in the Kings Daughter Hospital in Temple. The rest of his days, while he was ill were spent in bed at home. Arvin's death was unexpected and a great shock to his beloved ones. His death was due to weak heart and heart failure was the result. Arvin was born and reared in the Ad Hall community. He was born on December 28, 1821 [1921], and at the time of his death was only 20 years old. He did not live to reach his 21st birthday this coming December. Arvin was a quiet industrious boy who had a great love for farming. While sick he always talked about the time he would be well and could farm again. Arvin had many friends and was loved by all those who knew him. He leaves 5 brothers and 4 sisters and his parents. They are as follows: Frank Tomasek of Ad Hall, Louis Tomasek of Elmaton, Pvt. Hubert Tomasek who is in Armed service in Denver, Colorado, Pvt. Albert Tomasek who also is in the Armed forces in San Luis, Obispa, Calif., Emil Tomasek of Ad Hall, Mrs. Matilda Havlik of Cameron, Mrs. Minnie Vybiral of Cameron, Mrs. Angelina Balusek of Elmaton, Mrs. Rosie Svetlik of Bay City, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Anton Tomasek of Ad Hall."
