Asa Nelson Williams, Jr., 73, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., in Lorena Cemetery with Masonic Honors. Asa was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Asa, Sr. and Lillie Mae Huntsinger Williams. After 41 years, he retired from Texas Power and Light (TXU). During his lifetime, he was very proud to be a member of Lone Star Masonic Lodge No. 403 in Denison, Texas, the Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 484 in Taylor, Texas, and a member of the Vashti Chapter No. 32 of the Eastern Star in Temple, Texas. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Dixon Williams; sons, Gary Nelson Williams and wife, Tammy, and Joe Wayne Williams and wife, Carrie; daughters, Susie Williams Dusenberry and husband, Lew, and Joyce Williams Wilcher; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
