WEST POINT - Jean B. Stafford, 84, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona. She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Calhoun County to Willie Lee Evans Brown and Reuel Wesson Brown. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. E. Scott Allen will officiate. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne M. Lantrip (Jerry) of West Point and Barbara Moore Nix of Florence; three grandchildren, David Bramlett, Johnny Nix and Tammy Lantrip. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leon S. Moore and Alvin Leo Stafford; three brothers, Wesson Murray Brown, Charles Brown and Glenn Brown; a sister, Virginia Arnold; and a grandson, Thomas Jerry Lantrip Jr. Visitation will be from 2:45 to 3 p.m. today at Memorial Garden Cemetery.
