Bio

Clarence M. Musel, 76, of 5711 Colorado Dr. SW, died Tuesday in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery . Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after noon Friday at the chapel. Survivors include his wife, Madeline; a daughter, Clarise Oster of Lisbon; two stepdaughters, Cindy Hardy of Cedar Rapids and Juanita Krenzel of Leoti, Kan.; a stepson, Dale Gowey of Oelwein; and two sisters, Mabel Thiessen of Cedar Rapids and Lucille Houska of Wichita Falls, Texas. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Clarence was born March 24, 1917, in Benton County, and married Madeline J. Zinke on Sept. 13, 1965, in Preston, Minn. He worked at Harnischfeger as an inspector for 38 years, retiring in 1980. Clarence was a member of Harnischfeger Retirees Club and the NRA. The Rev. Nick Longworth will officiate.
