William Petersen, who died Sunday, April 2, in a Lincoln hospital following a short illness, was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, after funeral rites Tuesday afternoon from St. Paul Lutheran Church here. Rev. W. C. Heidenreich officiated with the Wilcox service. Pallbearers were Melvin and Howard Reinhold, Harland and Eldred Puls, Junior Koepke and Marvin Voss. William Frederick Petersen, son of Carsten and Frieda Petersen, was born at Hoskins, Neb., on March 14, 1926. The early part of his life was spent in his parental home. Shortly after the death of his mother in 1935, he was received into Tabitha Home in Lincoln and there received physical and spiritual training until he went to make his home with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Broady of Johnson, Neb. When he became ill, he was taken to Lincoln for hospital care. He was a baptized member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and was receiving instructions preparatory to his confirmation. Survivors are his father, three brothers, Frank and Victor of Wayne, and Merlin of Tabitha Home, five sisters, Leona, Bernice and Elaine of Wayne, Marian and Norma of Tabitha, and his grandmother, Mrs. Henry Puls of Pilger.
