Bio

Glen Partain, 86, of Spiro, Oklahoma was born September 6, 1918, in Spiro to John Alvin and Lena Ruth Watson Partain. He died Friday April 22, 2005, in Spiro. He is survived by his wife, one son and his wife, two sisters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a life member of the American Legion, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4884, AFL-CIO of California and the National Rifle Association, and was of the Church of Christ faith. He loved antique cars and tractors. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Author Thomas Partain, and three daughters, Glenda Lee Partain, Anita Partain Shaw Day and Linda Ruth Partain. Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with Jim Dewbre officiating. Burial was followed at New Hope Cemetery. Military rites conducted by the VFW Post No. 4446 of Stigler, Oklahoma.
