"South Cottonwood Boy, Back From France, Dead" Murray, July 5--Wallace F. Wootton, a returned soldier, died Wednesday at his home in South Cottonwood, of a complication of ailments. Wallace F. Wootton was 25 years old. He volunteered his service to his country and was in the 145th (First Utah) field artillery, Battery D. He went to and returned from France with his regiment and after demobilization at Logan he was appointed road supervisor for his district by the board of county commissioners. His father died while the son was in France. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the South Cottonwood ward chapel. The casket will be open on the day of the funeral from 12 o'clock, at the residence, Vine and Thirteenth East streets.
