Bio

Carl immigrated to the U.S. around 1869. He married Mary about 1871. They farmed in Henry county, IL until 1885 when they moved to a farm near Oakland, NE. In the early 1900's they retired from farming and moved into Oakland, their children continued to manage the farm. Carl & Mary had 9 children: Carl W (Charley), Philip Eric, Caroline, Andrew F., Mary, Edward Axel, Eva O., Bertha and one that died before 1900.
